Fifth Avenue Floral Vellum Sympathy Card

Hi Stampers!  Today's card is was made by embossing vellum - I love this look and wonder why I don't do it more often?

The card stock is Crumb Cake, and the stamp sets are Fifth Avenue Floral and Loving Thoughts for the sentiment.  Don't they look pretty together?  I love the font Stampin Up used for the Loving Thoughts stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped using  Early Espresso Ink.

To emboss, first start out with a piece of Vellum Card Stock and stamp your image using Craft Ink, in this case, I used Crumb Cake Craft Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  I cut out one of the flowers after embossing, added some Basic Pearls and popped it up with a Dimensional.  Then I layered the Vellum Card Stock piece on Whisper White Card Stock to make the images "pop".  TIP:  I used Mini Glue Dots behind the embossed flowers to attach to the white card stock so you wouldn't see the adhesive through the vellum.

To finish off the inside, I added a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that I punched out using the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  That's it!  Oh, and the ribbon is Crumb Cake Taffeta, one of my fav's!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

I am needing a sympathy card for a stamping friend. I think this would be a fantastic choice though I am sure mine won't be as nice as yours. But, I love the soft colors and the pearls with the velum. Gorgeous! I really like how you did the inside. Thanks for the inspiration!
