Greeting Card Kids Gable Box

Hi Stampers! For this project I used the stamp set, Greeting Card Kids (w 119887 c 120633).  Isn't this little girl adorable?  And the GREAT thing about this set is how versatile it is.  The four stamps in this set include a theme for Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day and "back to school" kids.  I can't get enough of this cute little  the old-fashioned girl :)

Today's project is called a Gable Box.  They are easy to make, all you need is a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock and the ability to score a few lines and you're in!  To color the image, I started with a piece of Confetti White card stock. The Confetti is a little heavier weight and works well for coloring images with ink.  I used my Stampin Write Markers and Blender Pen to color the images.  And, just a little gray under her feet and sled to "ground her'.  It is hard to tell from the photo, but I stamped snowflakes on the Pink Pirouette card card stock using Pink Pirouette ink.  The "handle" was punched out using the Wide Oval Punch (119859).  The little clip at the top was from Clip Assortment (112850) and the bow is Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (119251).

Using  a 2 Way Glue Pen, I added Dazzling Diamonds to the trim of her coat, hat and scarf.  And popped up the image with Dimensionals.  The greeting is from the set, Jolly Old Saint Nick (w 121711 c 121321) and was punched out using the Modern Label Punch (119849).  I simply added a heart to the greeting using the  Heart to Heart Punch (119881).

And, of course I had to add some candy to the inside!  I added Hershey Candy Cane Kisses to a small cello bag and tied it shut using Tinsel Trim.

Here's a step by step tutorial on how to make a Gable Box.  And, from the "achieves" is a peek at another Gable Box I made, oh and another one...ha ha!.  I can see myself making more of these for Valentine's Day :)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
